The ESPRAS Exchange Program (EEP) is being developed to create an international educational network between different institutions in Plastic Surgery and to facilitate student and resident exchange across Europe.by making applications and connections faster and more feasible for residents and students.
European residents or students (5th and 6th year residents) can apply for short visits to different Plastic Surgery Centres.
A list of currently available European centres and relevant information can be accessed via the drop down menu.
All available facilities are listed and visible on this site. If you would like to engage with this initiative and offer Mini Fellowships/taster visits please submit details of your Institution and any areas of particular subspecialty interest along with the name of the colleague to contact at your institution to office@espras.org.
It is anticipated that the duration of the mini-fellowships will range from 2 to 5 days, depending on the individual resident’s/student’s interests and what is available at individual Centres but could be varied upwards by mutual consent. It is hoped that accommodation will be arranged by the unit at minimum cost or free of charge to the individual
ESPRAS will sponsor up to 20 Mini Fellowships per year to the value of €250 for applicants whose national society has currently paid their ESPRAS membership dues. The candidate has to provide evidence of membership of their national society.
An ESPRAS review board composed of members of the Executive Committee (ExCo), will evaluate the requests received, considering curriculum vitae, a list of publications and research performed by the candidate, a list of meetings and workshops attended and previous visits to other departments.
